History fascinates me because I see how past events fit like puzzle pieces, leading to the world we live in today. I also learn about how different stories are from different perspectives, yet all of them are true and distinctly human. My interest in history started in my Advanced Studies World History: Modern class taught by Mr. Kerr. He often lead class with discussions and asked us to analyze documents and debate. My "Roman Empire" in History is how interconnected the world is economically since the 1450s, when the silver trade was booming. Silved mined from the Americas were taken over by the Spanish to the Phillippines, where they traded silver with goods from China. It intrigues me how this caused one of the first major world inflations, where silver's prices inflated so much that the Spanish went bankrupt.
